Initial Rates: Determination of the Rate Law and Rate Constant When Reactant Concentration is not Held Constant

In this video we determine the rate law from initial rate data for the reaction between C2H4Br2 and I. This problem differs from many of the standard problems of this type, because the concentration of 2H4Br2 is not held constant in any of the experiments. Here we show how to calculate the order with respect to CO. This video is appropriate for General Chemistry 2.
